 Alex Soyring was born on March 23, 1871. He came to the United States from Lappajarvi, Finland in 1899. He settled initially in Michigan and then moved to Maple, Wisconsin. Lizzie was born in Lapua, Finland on January 6, 1883. She married Alex Soyring on August 24, 1897.
In 1919 Alex and Lizzie moved to Sugar Bush Township in Ogema, Minnesota. They had fourteen children. Edward Soyring was one of the fourteen. He married Ina Randa who was from East Lake, Minnesota. Carl Soyring was born on June 7, 1927 and was the fourth of eleven children. Carl married Irene Lukanen on October 7, 1949, they had five children.
Denice Soyring Higman is the third child of Carl and Irene Soyring. With all eight great grand parents originating from Finland, this is truly a Finnish story. Denice founded Higman Healthcare in 1986 and ran this company together with her husband David Higman. Higman Healthcare grew to become the premier clinical consulting company in the United States. Higman Healthcare was sold in 1998.
On March 12, 2003 Denice and David Higman founded Soyring Consulting. Soyring Consulting, with many of their former employees on board, is improving healthcare one client at a time. Since its inception, Soyring Consulting has worked in over 35 states and concurrently manages approximately 15 clients at any given time.
Soyring Consulting combines experience and resources to provide customized healthcare consultation and management assistance while promoting the unique goals and objectives of each hospital/health system. Key concepts are centered on:
